Valentine's Day is celebrated in our country for quite a long time, so that certain traditions of its celebration were created. And first of all it concerns gifts: valentines, balloons, flowers and sweets are bought up in stores in unimaginable quantities. But what if you distract from the standard-boring purchases and make amazing crafts for February 14 with your own hands. The more so that such a gift will be much more enjoyable to give or receive.

Postcards

Light and magical cards can be a surprise on their own or beautifully complement the factory gift.

To make an ornate Valentine's card you will need to prepare:

  • paper or cardboard (they can be white or colored),
  • pencils,
  • felt-tip pens or paints,
  • scissors,
  • a simple pencil.

To make the simplest Valentine's Day card, you can simply fold a sheet of paper in half, cut out a heart or half a heart, write the words of recognition and love, and decorate it with drawings or applications.

More elegant valentine will turn out if you decorate the blank with artificial flowers, ribbons, bows with beads, shaped edges. To begin with, you can use improvised materials or buy a scrapbooking kit.

Three-dimensional card with a heart inside will be a very unusual craft. To do this, take two pieces of colored paper (red and pink, pink and blue), cut out their hearts and cut the blank spiral to make a continuous line of shrinking symbols of love.

The smallest hearts in both colors are glued together, the larger elements are glued to the inside halves of the card. Now, when unfolding the craft, the hearts will be unfolded with a continuous ribbon.

Flowers

An ordinary bouquet of flowers is sure to bring great pleasure with its enchanting fragrance, exquisite lines, delicate or bright colors. The only pity is that such a miracle will not last long.

Much longer will last floral paper crafts for February 14.

Natural bouquets

These can be bouquets made of natural materials or crafts from something that has long been lying in boxes for needlework.

  • To create a pretty bouquet, it is enough to pick up a few sprigs of a living tree and put them in a vase with water beforehand. After a few days, the delicate leaves should blossom on the twig. This in itself will be a wonderful gift, and the additional beauty of such a composition will give light florets of corrugated paper and beads, ribbons and bows.
  • Herbalist. Cute little herbalist will turn out of an old sock, seeds of ordinary grass and a couple of handfuls of earth. Earth is mixed with the seeds, the resulting mixture is poured into the sock, the edge of the sock is firmly sewn. Glued or sewn buttons will indicate the eyes and mouth, harnesses of thread can be used to make handles, and place a scarlet rag heart in them. Head crafts will decorate artificial flowers or a hat made of cardboard. Now the only thing left is to install the toy in a saucer with water and wait for the appearance of fresh grass.

Artificial flowers

Despite its not very pretty name, crafts from inanimate flowers will be a great surprise for a dear person.

Artificial flowers can be made from:

  • ordinary paper;
  • plastic bottles;
  • satin ribbons;
  • yarn;
  • corrugated paper.

Handicrafts from the last material will be an excellent filling for a sweet bouquet of candy, a magic floating cup, three-dimensional letters, jewelry and caskets.

Such buds are made rather quickly. For this purpose, small rectangles are cut out of corrugated paper, and petals are formed from them. Blanks rolled on a pencil, slightly compressed, and then spread out in the form of these petals. From the petals are formed a modest bud or a lush flower. The bottom of the handicraft is tightly wrapped with string.

For a sweet bouquet, the center is a tasty candy, around which the flower bud will be formed, for all the other crafts inside you can attach a bead.

Hearts

Romantic hearts can tell about the feelings of the giver without long words and beautifully decorate the room. In addition to cards, hearts can become:

  • A garland that will stretch across walls or cabinets;
  • Unusual curtains on windows or decoration of glasses.

Fluffy hearts are made of wool pompoms. For this, you need to make a lot of furry balls and attach them to a construction mesh or sew them to the fabric. Cozy mats can be monochrome or multicolored, as desired by the master.

Pillows in the form of pink hearts even 10 years ago decorated the children's room of girls or bedrooms of older people. Now this element of decor is slightly forgotten, so you can safely make a similar dumochku. To do this, you will need to sew two heart-shaped pieces of fabric, put inside any filler. Decorate the soft heart with embroidery, applique, fringe, bows, beads.

Sturdy cardboard, toothpicks, and thick yarn can make a charming jewelry box. To do this, the base is cut out of cardboard in the form of the symbol of the holiday of lovers, and the toothpicks are inserted tightly into it along the edge.

Around the resulting wedges are wrapped with thick threads in the manner of wicker. This method of wrapping will give the casket additional stability. The tops of the toothpicks are decorated with small beads. The lid can also be made of the same cardboard, wrapped in threads and decorated with flowers. To make the box easy to open, it is better to attach a strong loop or a small handle to the lid.

The coffee heart fills the room with a delicate aroma. To do this, prepare cardboard blanks decorated with grains of a noble plant, put the heart in a cocktail straw, and the resulting heart on a stick set in a pretty pot, covered with decorative stones or beads.

Edible gifts

For those who are not particularly fond of needlework, but want to give an unusual gift, you can make delicious food. The easiest option would be a morning sandwich in the shape of a heart, the same shape of eggs or pancakes. The symbol of the holiday can be depicted on a festive salad and on a cake or homemade cookies.

Crafts for February 14 present quite a few options for making unique surprises. In this case, they all do not require a large investment of money or labor, but will give a joyful mood from the morning.
