What does the difficulty of removing the slime from your clothes depend on

From the moment of purchase, some amount of lick is easy to find on different surfaces, starting from the bathroom sink and pumping clothes, sofa and curtains. Choose a procedure for removing stains from a child's toy should take into account the following characteristics of the sticky mass and the very materials where it got into:

  • how much time has passed since the slime got on the child's outer or home clothing;
  • what components are included in the lick (gel or detergent, soap or PVA glue, shaving foam)
  • what structure the fabric has, its composition and texture, the dyes used and the properties of the material.

The viscous consistency, the large composition of binders and fragrance components, additional decorations only complicate the process of cleaning clothes and textiles. There are several simple and affordable ways to save any clothes and save yourself from having to update a child's closet.

Options and options for removing licky residue from clothing

In fact, the slime is a jelly-like, viscous and sticky mass with decorative additives and dyes. Undoubtedly, with such a bright and interesting toy is very interesting to play with kids of different ages, but here parents have to choose ways to get rid of the remnants of the lick from the surface of the clothes.

Folk remedies and recipes for removing slime residues

It is not very easy to clean clothes from contamination after playing with a lick of different colors, but mono use several available ways. Folk recipes and inexpensive solutions can save outerwear or home clothes, they can also be successfully used for home textiles:

  • shock freezing in the freezer. It is best if the stain is still fresh and the top of the slime remains on the garment, after freezing it does not crumble and is easily removed from the textile;
  • boiling water or steam treatment. If the lick has already had time to dry properly, you can soften it with an iron or steam generator, or simply by holding it over the spout of a kettle;
  • a steep solution of salt in liquid. Dilute table salt in boiling water (2-3 tablespoons per 1 liter of water) and in this solution, soak the stain easily by washing until it is completely removed.

The good thing about these methods is that they can't damage the clothes or make things unusable even if they don't work. Their effectiveness depends on the composition of the sticky mass and whether the process can affect the structure of the slime, destroying it and removing even the smallest particles from the fabric.

A few more effective ways to clean clothes

The modern chemical industry produces different substances and formulations that can also be used to clean clothes. Most often, such products contribute to the complete breakdown of the stuck mass at the molecular level, and the following options can be used to remove stains:

  • nail polish remover, acetone;
  • Strong stain removers;
  • Quality dishwashing gel.

When using substances such as acetone and stain removers, it is important to remember that they can damage the color and structure of the item. And also, an inexpensive nail polish remover has a rather unpleasant and pungent smell, which does not evaporate from clothes even after several washes.

Important: All chemicals with strong active substances must first be applied to a cotton swab, and then apply it to the garment. After removing the stains, a washing procedure using a washing machine or by hand is obligatory.

Pharmacy remedies that are good at removing slime from things

You may find several inexpensive remedies in your home medicine cabinet that are not only used for first aid. They can be used as an effective way to effectively remove stains and save yourself the trouble of buying new baby clothes:

  • Hydrogen peroxide. A thin object is carefully removed from the surface of the garment with a slip, then a few drops of peroxide are poured on the stain and you need to wait for its reaction to subside;
  • rubbing alcohol. For things with bright colors, it is better not to use pure and undiluted alcohol, but use it in the same way as hydrogen peroxide, pre-diluted in water (1:1).

Another product that you can buy at a drugstore or any cosmetics store is a two-phase makeup remover. Of course, it contains oil that dissolves the slime, so you will need to remove the oil residue from your clothes after use, which will negatively affect the appearance of your clothes.

Slime, which some manufacturers call hand gum, can firmly and reliably penetrate the structure of natural or synthetic fabrics. Often, its residues are very difficult to remove from clothing, and even gum removal from a T-shirt or shorts is easier than cleaning them from the lick:

  • The earlier the stain is detected, the easier it is to get rid of it. If the child plays with the slime or makes it himself from the improvised means, you should carefully inspect his clothes and teach him the rules of safety;
  • it is better to start the procedure by removing the not yet dried lick. Until the substance has not dried and finally spoiled the thing, it is better to remove most of it from the surface of the textile at once, and then pick up the options;
  • delicate fabrics and expensive things are better not to clean themselves. In addition to his clothes the child may also stain the clothes of adults, it is better to give them immediately to the dry cleaner, not experimenting even with tried and tested means;
  • Outerwear made of fleecy fabrics should be cleaned for a long time. The dense structure and different characteristics of the fabric can affect the chosen method, and it is better to apply it at home in a quiet environment, studying the features of the textile.

Stains that have just been stained can be dealt with quickly and easily, for this purpose it is enough to remove the garment and wash it in warm water. And you can also use the mass itself, gently attach it to the stain and try to slowly pull, then the lick will stick and remove the dirt itself.

Not all children's fun and entertainment parents may like, but the slime helps to develop fine motor skills and occupies the kids for a while. That's why you should figure out in advance how to remove slime residue from things and clothes, protecting yourself from loss of time and unnecessary worry.
